Sidney is a music educator who enjoys sharing her passion for music with others. She teaches PK-12 music and serves as the assistant band director at Conotton Valley Union Local Schools. She also enjoys teaching private trumpet lessons. Sidney joined the Brass Band of the Western Reserve in 2023 on cornet. 

 

Sidney began playing the trumpet in elementary school and studied Music Education – Instrumental Emphasis at Ohio University. Sidney served as a trumpet music section leader in the Ohio University Marching 110, where she experienced playing in Paris, numerous NFL football games including the Browns and Bengals, on the Today Show, and in the 2017 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Sidney is a member of the Saluting America’s Band Director’s Marching Band where she will perform in the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Sidney also enjoys playing in local groups such as the Canton Concert Band, and church services.

 

In her free time, Sidney enjoys spending time with her family and cat. She loves the outdoors and loves to ski, boat, and camp.
