Scott Purdum
Scott Purdum joined the band in 1999 and is currently playing Repiano Cornet.
Scott grew up playing cornet in the Salvation Army in which both parents were ordained clergy. After his father started him on the cornet (at the age of 6) he was playing in local Salvation Army Corps a year later. He has been playing cornet ever since.
Scott graduated high school in 1970 and graduated from Pikeville (KY) College in 1975. A year later he entered Asbury Theological Seminary and he was ordained as a United Methodist pastor in 1977. He served two churches in Kentucky and four appointments in Ohio, for a total of 34 years as a pastor.
Scott is now retired and living in Wickliffe where he is married to Lori (in May of 2019).
He loves being in the band and is proud to be an early member. He is thrilled to be celebrating with the band in their 25th year.
