Kyle Zimmerman

Kyle Zimmerman is a trombone player from East Palestine, Ohio studying instrumental music education at Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music. At Youngstown State University he participates in various performing ensembles including the YSU Marching Pride and the YSU Trombone Choir. Other performing ensembles he participates in are the Salem Quaker City Band, Youngstown Community Concert Band, and the Mt. Carmel Italian Band. He has also had the opportunity to play alongside the United States Navy Band.

He is an active member of the Ohio Collegiate Music Education Association and the International Trombone Association. During the summer, he teaches high school musicians at East Palestine High School’s annual band camp.

Kyle joined the band when he was in high school in December 2016. He then took a brief leave of absence to finish his last season with the Stambaugh Youth Concert Band. He returned to the band in May 2017.

Currently, Kyle lives in Youngstown, Ohio, and is employed by the Dana School of Music as the equipment manager. He is very grateful for the opportunity to perform with the Brass Band of the Western Reserve.
