Kelly Scollin

Kelly joined the Brass Band of the Western Reserve in fall of 2017, when he moved to Ohio after serving as interim instructor of trumpet at East Tennessee State University. He holds a B.M. from ETSU, and an M.M. from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music in trumpet performance.

After graduate school, Kelly was in the United States Army Band, and was stationed at the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, N.Y. Upon fulfillment of military obligations, he returned to Colorado, where he discovered his love for the world of brass bands. Mr. Scollin is a former member of the Pike’s Peak Brass Band in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Currently, Kelly resides in Kent with his Airedale Terrier, Sir Charles, and works as a brass instrument repair technician at Woodsy’s Music. Kelly is thrilled to be a member of the Brass Band of the Western Reserve.
