Jim Bickley

Jim began his career playing the drums in elementary school under the guidance of Bob Fitch. He continued playing during his High School years in the Warren Junior Military Band under the private instruction of Jimmy Vivo. 

He entered the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University after High  School and then studied under Joseph Parlink and Tony Leonardi. During his time in the YSU Jazz Ensemble he was awarded a scholarship by Woody Herman to help continue his education. 

Jim continued to play locally in numerous bands after college. He went on to manage and now is a partner in a worldwide wholesale percussion business. 

Jim resides in Niles OH with his lovely significant other Shelly, has two children, and six grandchildren. 

He is very proud to be one of the newer members  of the Brass Band of the Western Reserve.
