Jacob Shaw

Jacob Shaw is an arranger, conductor, composer, and performer, who recently graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2022. His arrangements primarily have been for wind and marching bands, with some explorations into smaller chamber wind and brass ensembles. He has also had the privilege to conduct at both the high school and college levels, most recently serving as the conductor and composer-in-residence for the CWRU Symphonic Winds in 2022 as well as the founder and musical director for the CWRU Clarinet Choir and Brass Ensemble in the Spring and Fall of 2022.

 
Jacob has performed in a wide variety of ensembles on different instruments, playing a mix of woodwinds, brass, and percussion. He has been a member of the Brass Band of the Western Reserve since August 2022 where he serves as the Principal Percussionist.
 
Currently, Jacob resides in Cleveland Heights and works for CSA Group’s Thermal Testing Laboratory as a Product Saftey Engineer.
